Scenes & Media Sequencing
Scenes in Production Studio are the building blocks of your edit: a sequence of clips (images or video) that play in order. How you order and trim them defines the story and pace.
Building a sequence
- Add clips — Pull images and video from your library onto the timeline in the order you want.
- One clip = one segment — Each clip is one segment on the timeline. Place the next clip after it for a linear sequence.
- Transitions — If the tool supports transitions between clips, add them for a smoother cut (e.g. crossfade, cut). Otherwise, a direct cut is the default.
Pacing and length
- Images — Each image has a duration (e.g. 3–5 seconds). Shorten or extend by trimming so it matches the beat of the edit.
- Video clips — Use the best part of the clip; trim the start and end to remove unwanted sections.
- Captions — Align captions with scene changes or key moments. One caption per “beat” keeps the edit readable.
Tips for clarity
- Logical order — Arrange scenes so the narrative or message flows (intro → main points → close, or story order).
- Consistent style — Using assets from the same project (and same characters/environments) keeps the look coherent.
- Preview often — Scrub through the timeline to check that sequencing and captions feel right before exporting.
