Media Types

MediaSnap works with several media types: images, video, audio, and special types like characters and environments. Each type has its own generators and uses.

Image

  • Created in — Image Lab.
  • Used for — Standalone visuals, references, character or environment bases, inputs to video or trends.
  • Formats — Typically PNG, JPG, or similar; export options depend on the tool.

Video

  • Created in — Video Generator (Director Panel), or assembled in Production Studio.
  • Used for — Clips, scenes, full edits, trend-style videos, social content.
  • Formats — Short clips from generation; final export from Production Studio (e.g. MP4) depends on export settings.

Audio

  • Created in — Sound Studio (Audio / Sounds).
  • Used for — Music beds, sound effects, ambience, voice (when available) in Production Studio or projects.
  • Formats — Depends on generation or upload; commonly WAV, MP3, or similar.

Characters and environments

  • Characters — Saved identity (reference image + metadata) for reuse in image and video generation.
  • Environments — Saved location or backdrop for reuse in image and video generation.

They appear in your Asset Library and in Projects and are selected inside creation tools rather than “played” like media files.

Understanding media types helps you choose the right tool and reuse the right asset in each workflow.
