MediaSnap helps protect your work when assets are used in projects or productions.

Warnings before deletion

If an asset is used in a project (especially in a Production Studio production), MediaSnap can warn you before deletion and show where it’s used.

What you’ll see

• A message such as: “This asset is used in X projects” (or in X productions).
• Options such as:
  • View the projects or productions using it
  • Remove usage first, then delete
  • Cancel deletion

This reduces the risk of accidentally deleting an asset that is still referenced in a project or edit.

Best practice

Before deleting an asset, check whether it’s assigned to a project or used in a production. Use the asset details or library filters to see usage when available.
