Cast, Sets & Reference Decks

The Creation Engine attaches cast and set images so models keep a consistent look. Controls sit on the command bar and above the prompt.


Cast & sets toggle

Button on the prompt row (people icon):

  • Logged-in users: expands reference decks grid (Cast, Sets, and related deck types from Elements)
  • Guests: may show a film strip of cast/location thumbnails

When expanded, pick a deck card to drill into assets on the film strip, then add items as references.


Prompt row chips

Beside the toggle, cast and set chips show project Elements:

  • Click to fill [character] / [environment] placeholders
  • Or insert names per placeholder rules

Reference film strip

Horizontal strip above tools (when open):

  • Thumbnails from selected deck or uploads
  • Items become reference slots for the active model
  • Back returns from deck drill-down to deck grid

Prompt reference rail

Small rail next to the prompt shows selected reference assets — remove slots here before generate.


Project assets sidebar

Folder button on canvas opens project assets:

  • Tabs: Images, Videos, Audio
  • Preview modal: Add as reference, open asset page
  • Paginated grid of user_media in the project

Useful when you already generated on Director Board and want to reference an existing file.


Auto-detection

Typing cast/set names in the prompt can auto-attach references when the model supports it. See Reference Auto-Detection.
